Help and support for technical leaders
“Clare coached me on detailed strategies of how I can manage and improve a poor individual relationship, how I can look out for my team, how I can be an active leader. She also helped with advice and techniques for managing my own anxieties and emotions.” Steve Leighton, Lead Engineer.
Are you a technical leader? Are you concerned about any of the following?
- The line between technical and non-technical
- Keeping your technical knowledge and skills up to date
- The definition of your own role and responsibilities
- Your “soft” leadership skills
- Managing relationships with those who report to you, and those you report to
- Communication
- Mentoring
- Career progression for your team
- Time management
- Your career progression
- Software delivery effectiveness and efficiency
- Metrics – when they work and when they don’t
We often meet technical leaders who worry about these topics and many more. But leadership can be a lonely place, and you don’t always have someone you can talk to consistently about these topics. If that strikes a chord, this coaching is for you!
“Clare is patient, and empathetic, and her coaching style is empowering and collaborative.” Katrina Young, SME Growth Consultant.

Who is the coach?
Clare Sudbery is a seasoned coach with over 25 years of software engineering and technical leadership experience. She now travels all over the world working closely with leaders in multiple domains, helping them to improve their technical leadership.
Clare is a member of the Samman Technical Coaching Society and used to lead the Made Tech academy. She’s always been passionate about increasing opportunities for under-represented groups in tech.
